That was awesome indeed! Who owns that equipment and does it run often? What are the circumstances of that trip?

Friends of 261 in Minneapolis, MN owns this plus two Milwaukee Road business cars painted in Orange and Maroon Scheme with rear platforms.    The Montana and The Milwaukee.   Former tip-top tap lounges rebuilt to full business cars.   They have other passenger cars as well.     They use the fleet with their steam locomotive which is a Milwaukee Road S-3 Northern type I think (going off memory).   In this case I think this was a ferry move in both directions but not sure.    CP used the full trainset for an employee special around 2011, it might have been a ferry move for that train.

I think this was filmed somewhere North of La Crosse along the West Bank of the Mississippi River.    Too bad they did not have the matching locomotive back then but still an awesome sight to see......
