Texas Central is a little out of date.   All they have left is financial commitments to build the line which they are firming up now.    They stated if they get enough committed to financially by fall that construction would start this year.   They are still highly confident the line will get fully financed.

The land owners lawsuits are no longer seen as an obstacle to progress and the Texas Supreme court dismissed the remaining lawsuits from what I understand.

Texas DOT was talking about funding an HSR extension following the UP railroad right of way.....between Dallas and Fort Worth but it never got further than talk.  My guess is it would go through the tower 55 area and use T&P station in Fort Worth or land near there.
