I Belive that rail shipping is the greenest option and that Americans should have that choice called NARP 3 times and even they have not got a call back..oh yeah NARP is now ARP Assotion of Rail Passengers.
Warren J ronrunner Because I need to move stuff to my summer home in Upstate NY and Amtrak is limiting bag size and amounts as of now....Amtrak Express would at least let me move a bunch of stuff with me and even load a pallet at certain stations....the agent has told me to use UPS which means that I have to take a Uber to a UPS store to pick up bags that might get there after I get off the train by a few days I thought UPS will deliver your goods to a street address and not just a UPS Store. I have shipped from a UPS Store many times and had stuff sent to a street address; give UPS a call to find out the details. UPS Overnight can be pricey, though. If the shipment is substantial and you don't need it overnight, try a shipping/freight company as it may be less expensive.

I believe that UPS Stores are configured (and advertised) so that their boxes are considered 'street addresses' for the purposes of UPS delivery.

Exactly you can even ship by the freight intermodal and they will deliver right to your door.....via their drayage option.
If the package is at a UPS store they can put it on a truck for the local distribution center which will transfer it to a local door to door delivery. You really need to sign up for MY UPS for notifications and it allows you to redirect shipments in transit or issue new instructions............most at no additional charge. Once you sign up any future UPS package sent to you by anyone will trigger an Email to you with status and tracking number.
