Wow, now here is one of the color photos of the inside I have seen in the past, check out the floors. The depot was multi-level. It was at the foot of Wisconsin Ave (called Grand Ave in earlier Milwaukee Photos) so you entered on the second floor and descended to the lakefront level waiting room at platform level see link below:

Now there is even a better photo of the waiting room with what looks lika a large stone or cement fireplace and it is color but I cannot locate it on internet if anyone finds it please post.
