Don't remember. There was a paper posted on the wall discussing the car's origin and the FRA project, but then just a vague statement about why it didn't work.

Rode on it back around 2015, and it was simply being used as a passenger car on various services.

Had they physically removed the Detroits from the car, and the drive arrangement from the trucks?

Alaska Railroad DMU 751

So, is the Alaska 751 (DMU) used as such anymore, and if so, where?  Everything I can find is quite dated.  It was on the "Chugach Explorer" but this area now appears to be served by the "Glacier Discovery," which appears to be a "conventional" passenger train.  Is the DMU being used (as a DMU) anymore, or simply a "passenger car?"
