ROFL! Yeah....I'm likely growing more cynical with age, but I've come to conclude that it's probably always been that way, it's just that with pervasive media coverage, we are now just more aware of the way those in control operate.

Reading the News Brief on page 11 of Trains' November '18 issue, it now appears that Amtrak is specifically "calling out" the veracity of Trains magazine's reporting of this topic. To which Trains magazine has now countered, in print, that they stand behind their original reporting.
