If Anderson really wanted to kill demand for Amtrak on the I-95 Southern corridor - operate all the normal trains and have them get stranded in the middle of nowhere for hours or days.  Word of mouth war stories would cut demand to zero in short order - If only they could force CSX to operate against CSX's best interests.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Forecasts are indicating very heavy rainfall for NC and VA, so Amtrak is taking propoer precaution by annulling trains.

Checked Amtrak reservation at 1600 today for Crescent, Palmetto and Florida trains.  Crescent had about 4 days of cancellations.  However those east coast trains show cancelled thru Christmas eve.  Now how will this affect ridership for the trains for those persons who do not check back for reservations ?

Somebody(s) should have to visit the unemployment office if this is a mistake ?

EDIT===Guess a call to Amtrak reservations fixed problem.  Now only trains thru 9/18 are sold out or cancelled.  That probably is reasonable as CSX may have much difficulty clearing the tracks,!

We can either expect Star longer to get clearing the "S" line. Or Amtrak could combine with meteor or route star on "A" line ?
