A new station for Cary, IL was approved by Metra.

The site is very narrow located between the UP's Northwest line and the Northwest Highway. So the bulding is only twelve feet deep and about one hundred ft long. It looks very nice and will have an ticket offce at the East end. I was directed to plans by village employees and they can be seen on page 25 of the Village/Metra agreement. An illustration is on page 2 of the agreement.

The existing station located on the outbound side of the tracks will be demolished after the new station is in operation.
