OK, finally we are starting to firm up some details here. Though they are not exactly firm but at least a little more pinpoint than before.....
Texas Central announced construction would start next year in 2019 but no specific date.
Texas Central announced what it considers to be the cost of the project. $15 Billion, though no real mention of where they are going to get that kind of money.
Dallas and Fort Worth continue to talk about their own High Speed Rail Connector project between this new HSR Station in Dallas and downtown Fort Worth. Additional projected cost for that is $2 Billion, no idea where they will get that kind of money. Allegedly it will follow the UPRR alignment Amtrak used to use and it will not have any station stops until Fort Worth.
Anyways here is the expansive Dallas Station Plan. This is within walking distance of Dallas Union Station (a few blocks) however you can also ride DART most of the way there (Convention Center Stop). Looks like they have a huge station development here where they are going to capitalize on the buildings and lease space, parking, etc as part of the revenue draw (not just ticket prices).

I think the people involved in this project have done a masterful job so far. And I respect Japanese knowhow.
