I just viewed a youtube video that was labeled as #8 of 11/4/17.
The consist on the video was the power, v2 bag, transition sleeper, sleeper,diner, and a single coach, for what should be the Seattle section, then the lounge, 2 coaches and a sleeper for a normal Portland section.
Did they cut the size of the train for the winter? It seems very odd a single coach for the Seattle section.
I have read and heard that they do cut cars in the off season. Not as much traveling being done. When I rode it in summer a few years ago, we had diner go with Seattle section and the lounge came with us to Portland. Since I was in a sleeper, I did get free microwave breakfast and finally got a seat in lounge and great view of Columbia River Gorge. Most of the train must have went on to Seattle.
