Last I heard and I think it was a youtube video of the Mayor of Moline, IL from late 2017, they were still waiting on Iowa Interstate to get it's studies done and start track improvements and nobody was willing to give a firm start-up date for this Amtrak Service. In that video they stated the State of Illinois released the funds via the Governor but that Iowa Interstate was the holdup. The best they could say was late 2018 or sometime in 2019.
Does anyone else have a more detailed update on what the issue is with Iowa Interstate and it's studies before they do the trackwork?
