The human animal gets set in its routines - until it is forced to change and then it may find the old routine wasn't nearly as beneficial as the new routine that was forced upon it, despite having initially complained to high heaven about the change.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

So much for Gov. Andrew Cuomo's whine about the "Summer of Hell". Commuters quickly adapted to the scheduled changes to their rides, with several quoted on local TV news broadcasts stating that it took them less than one week to become comfortable with their commutes.

During the reconstruction at NYP, New Jersey Transit rerouted the MidTown Direct trains on the Morris & Essex lines from NYP to Hoboken. Now that the construction is complete, these trains will resume running to NYP. A number of riders are now asking NJT to continue operating some of these MidTown Direct trains into Hoboken; it seems that they saved about 1/2 hour on their commute to downtown NYC using Hoboken and PATH vs NYP and the subways.
