Is this the Moorman impact? I remember calling Amtrak special movements group about a Chicago to Green Bay, WI Charter two years ago and just getting the endless run around as well as the Amtrak rep arguing with me on the phone and telling me that what I really wanted was a Chicago to Milwaukee Charter not a Chicago to Green Bay, WI charter. It was half-way comical and representative of an old Monty Python skit.
Now it looks to me like they have redone the charter page to be more business like and at least have a starting ballpark figure on it..........on what someone could expect to pay for a Chartered Amtrak train (though it is probably slighly less than half what a RT Chicago to Green Bay, WI train would cost).
Interesting and I wonder if the new CEO Moorman had something to do with fixing this? I wonder now if I call if the Amtrak person will listen to what I want instead of arguing with me and attempting an easier for Amtrak compromise.
