Really hope Front Range passenger service happens soon. I recall talk of such service when I lived in Denver in the early 80s and congestion on I-25 hasn't gotten any better since.
While I'm not holding my breath, passenger rail from Denver (actually, preferably Cheyenne) down to Trinidad/La Junta) to connect with the SWC is something that has been needed for a LONG, long time. The real problem is getting the double track back in on the Joint Line between Kelker and Crews; something that Mudchicken knows a LOT about.
