1. East river tunnel bores rebuilding and storm doors. No mention of east river bores 5 & 6.
2. Six additional RTs ( round trips ) NYP -WASH
3. Wilmington shops rebuilding
4. Wilmington 3rd track and thru train track speed ups.
5. WASH track 22 platform and connecting track added for thru train tracks to Virginia.

What are "RTs" ?
Note : This report is the $38B widely quoted. But what is not broken out is the amounts needed from all government agencies not jjust Amtrak. For example the $1.0B+ for the CT Walk bridge work is included.

Spend money to rebuild some car shops in Wilmington? What about the 500 year old erector set Delair bridge over the Delaware River. I know its owned by Conrail but somebody is going to get killed on that thing.
With reference to the 160mph upgrades, they mention 10 'crowders' as part of intrusion protection. The only kind of crowder I know is for rail wheels, to improve the effectiveness of derails; where are the 10 locations and what specific traffic would each prevent from 'intruding'?

He thought it was a dog of a bridge, so he quite logically measured in dog years...
It certainly looks 500 years old.
A much more likely bridge for "Mohicans" to build would be the Poughkeepsie Bridge (which is only about 300 years old) -- the Delair Bridge was in Lenapehoking.

Perhaps they referred to the specific after effects from the ingestion of crowder (pea)s!

I thought it might be "crowder" mules--those which, if you annoy them too much and they have the opportunity to do so, will crowd you against a wall and make you extrememly uncomfortable. If you have read George Agnew Chamberlain's book, Scuddahoo Scuddahay! you will know what a crowder is.

The little weasel in the movie version certainly found out (at around 1:28).
I did not see the movie, but "Stretch" certainly learned not to mess with his step-brother's mules. When he tried to cripple them, he made the mistake of getting between one of them and a wall.

As often is the case, much is left out between Stretch's being crowded by the mule and his and his mother's leaving the place left to his step-brother, Snug.
