Donuts run the entire Canadian economy. Some say it is our natural resource industries, Mining, Oil and Gas, that sort of thing, some say it's beaver pelts, some say wheat but we all know that really and truly its donuts.

This should be our new national anthem. Wanswheel for Prime Minister!

Well, for 10-odd hours I was excited at this news.  And at the logical extension ... Krispy Kreme on the Crescent, Tim Horton's on the Montrealer, Gibsons on the City of New Orleans, and so deliciously on ... perhaps with coupons for deep discounts on dozens for those with a good tally of passenger miles...

... until I find out it's only the muddy coffee, served out of the same tired old stainless urn brewers that plague the restaurants, that's involved here.  You'd probably get a better brew buying the DD ground coffee from Kroger and brewing it with drip into glass carafes.  And, to paraphrase Lucius Beebe, I shall not be there.

At least it's not Starbucks.

RME-believe your posting goes on the "Dunkin Donuts now on Acela" thread. Wrong thread here. Also you realize you have now made an enemy out of NDG...expect a serious rebuke of your Starbucks put down!

2 Donut threads in one day. This Canuklehead is in heaven.

Luv the Starbucks French Roast. Trading post "Robertson's", a real genuine trading post here in my town on the frontier of Northern Saskatchewan, brings in huge bags of unground Starbucks French Roast for me, six at a time. Best coffee, never disappoints, cannot screw it up. My 1936 Hobart pulverizes the heck out of those beans.

However I like your idea of localizing the brew for specific trains.
