That hotel is just next to the terminal of route 28 in the Baixa District (12 passes in the line next to it). As for the others, next to Martim Moniz (and Rossio) there's Praça da Figueira, from were 15 departs (it's normally protected by modern cars, but it's not rare to get a classic car in regular service). Also 25 starts from there. As amercicans would say, each of these 2 terminals is a stone's throw from the hotel.
If you need any help just ask. Woouldn't mind showing you the system

Mario, Thank you for your reply. We will be in Portugal as part of an escorted tour from 12 March to 18 March. For that week we will be in a hotel in Cascais. After that we will be is Lisbon for two more nights beforte we fly back to America. In Lisbon we will be at the Hotel Mundial in the Biaxa Pombalina district near Praca do Rossio square. It appears that we will be close to the tram lines you mentioned. Thank you for your helpful suggestions.

Yes I have. Next to Rossio (no more than 5 minutes walking) there are 2 termini from wich some of the tram routes depart. These are ; Praça da Figueira, for routes 12, 15 and 25, and Martim Moniz for route 28 (but for this one it's better to go really early, something like 8:00 a.m. or before, to avoid the crowds and to enjoy the ride). Possibly or not (most trackwork is finished in one of the main plazas) nother route will reopen, but only for touristical operation (with 80 + year old cars).
Also worth seing is the museum of the tram operator, with a good assortment of historic trams (some operational, but the vehicles seldom leave the museum).
And if you've got a little time, it's also worth to ride the sort of interuban line in Sintra, in wich only vintage Brill cars are used (the unrebuit cars date back to 1903).
Near the dates in wich you'll be here, jsut ak me, because I'll be glad to show you the sytem here
Thanks, Mario. Always enjoy your videos.
Need some advice. We will be in Lisbon in later March. We are staying in a hotel in the city center, near Praca do Rossio square. I am interested in seeing and/or riding the classic trams in Lisbon. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
Hello all ;
Recently there's been some hoopla about going thru big tunnels, such as the new Gothard base tunnel, but somehow the crossing of big bridges seems to be somehow underrated. So here's a big bridge crossing for you. If you manage to caught anything similar, just post the video here. The only condition is that these bridges are used by passenger trains such as the one from wich this vignette was taken.
