I was reminded of it by this articlehttp://trn.trains.com/news/news-wire/2016/12/28-builderbut during the heavy snow that hit Chicago a couple of weeks ago, I checked to see how Amtrak was doing (on this website: http://www.asm.transitdocs.com/ - it has been shared here before, I think) and I found an interesting situation about to develop. It seemed that the eastbound Empire Builder was running a few hours late. Not surprising but the westbound EB was also late out of Chicago-which, sadly, did not surprise me, either-and was running just ahead of a northbound Hiawatha service train...and all three were going to arrive in Milwaukee within about twenty minutes of each other! Two (late) long distance trains, and a popular corridor train. Good thing that the station improvements (new platforms and stairway/elevator access) were finished this year!
