For anyone wondering, this is a link to a PDF download, I think of a PowerPoint presentation made by Illinois DOT describing the Chicago-St. Louis "HSR" (I believe it's 110mph max, but it's welcome just the same). MIPRC is the Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission (and the slide presentation is not, as I thought when I first saw it, a conference proceeding.)
They mention that the contract for the trains was given to Nippon Sharyo in 2012. What's the current status of that?
