So I read that both are now owned and stored indoors along with other railroad artifacts by the current owner of E&LS railroad in the Upper Pinnesula. Which is good if it is true. I also heard the intent is to preserve and restore them and eventually transfer to the Museum in Duluth. Not sure if this part is true but time will tell. So from old pictures I saw the E&LS used to also have an Ex-Milwaukee Road Sleeper in the same class as the one that Friends of 261 has? What is the name of the sleeper and do they still have it?
