Nice tour of the train!

Excellent! It brings back memories of riding this train from Chicago to Alubuquerque and back in 1973. Going west, my wife and her three children and I shared a drawing room; returning, we had a bedroom suite in Indian Canoe. My only regret was not asking if we could eat dinner in theTurquoise Room. The westbound dining car steward knew what to do, what not to do--and what could be done. The eastbound steward, sad to say, knew ony his rulebook.

With all the Santa Fe Equipment still in operation and the two Santa Fe painted F's in Galveston.......maybe borrow a third Santa Fe painted F from the Museum in Frisco, Texas (total of three F's in Santa Fe Passenger Paint, running in Texas). You would think they could do just one more run of a restored Super Chief between Chicago and LA and charge an outrageous amount for tickets. They also have the Texas Chief round obs in running shape at the Museum in Frisco, still has the drumhead sign.
Just great! Love those old railroad promotional films from years ago, pure fun!
Looks like a wonderful train trip. But the smoking ! Glad they dont allow smoking anymore !
