With all the hot weather now it is amazing that there are not more heat restrictions slowing Amtrak. LAX Metrolink has had speed restriction. Even the Darango and Silverton had a heat kink that caused problems.
Guess the Chargers at the TTC in Pubelo will get their high - hot abilities tested.

With the picture in the article - I see a distinct lack of angle bars.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Do you mean anchors? As in the "J" bars that restrict rail movement in line with the rail by providing resistance for the rail to move. As:
: a device to help maintain the proper line and gage of track by resisting the longitudinal movement of rails under traffic and maintaining proper expansion allowance at joint gaps for temperature changes
I don't see any anchors either but remember, this is not heavily loaded nor high speed track.

I am referring to the what appears to be welded rail wherethis is not heavily loaded nor high speed track. One would expect stick rail and the bars that join the rails together, aka angle bars.

If you look at the left rail, where it starts its turn to the left, you will see joint bars. You may have to magnify your image as I did but yes, it is stick rail with joints. I don't see anchors but I do see joints.

I only saw 2 bars - one set on each rail.

There are joint bars all the way down -- I see evidence of about 5. They are hidden in the curves and shadow, but there are bars right at the apex of the kink, and more at the 'rear' of the kink where you see a sharp angle in the left rail. Once you know to look for them you can pick them out of the image noise.
