The station is not in that bad shape still has wooden phone booths and green marble exterior intact.
The current station, built by the Atlantic Coast Line in 1956, is slated to be replaced by a new structure eventually to have high level platforms and a third track for passenger trains to use when loading and unloading passengers without tying up the main line. One historical note is that the present building, although in decrepit shape, features two waiting rooms, dating back to Jim Crow rules then in effect.
You ask the question but do not indicate why you are raising it. Is it in jeopardy? Is it in need of expensive repairs?
