Today, I am riding the Business Class in the former ATSF dome car. On the north side of Rensellier the locomotive hit a car at a crossing that did not have active crossing protection. The crew, both Amtrak and Iowa & Pacific were very professional and kept everyone informed. Also, they were kind enough to offer snacks and water to everyone on the train both coach and business class.
Generally speaking, the service on both the north bound and south bound has been wonderful and I would recommond this to anyone who wishes to travel between Chicago and Indiana. Much better than driving I-65.
The delay was about 2 hours and we are on the move again.
