As of tuesday evening 10:00 PM .   ---   Since last night (monday ) time unknown the website has crashed.  Only very basic items available. No specialized sites available only

It is still on "lite mode" according to the site, which is: https://tickets.amtrak.com/home/

The regular site is back up this morning.  As an IT professional I give them high marks for setting up the temporary site in a hurry to keep things moving, even if it wasn't particularly polished.

Didn't Southwest Airlines have some kind of computer crash over the weekend that affected their ticketing and boarding processes and required using 'manual' operations to work through the outage - causing serious delays to the entire Southwest system.

Yes, Southwest couldn't check bags in their system.
