Official announcement of mid day Springfield shuttle cancellations for a 12 month period..  Wonder if this will be cause for some furloughs of Springfield T & E ?

 For timkeeping purposes wonder if Amtrak will keep Vermonter end point times the same ?  Maybe tighten up times from Vt - Ma border to Springfield and put padding in schedule SPG -  New Haven ?

Downeaster announces end to tie work and expects on time operation starting starting this afternoon.  Only question  --  thought that so many tons need to go over any track when it is surfaced befor full MAS reack sped allowed ?

It's Over!   The Tie Replacement Project of spring 2015 has finally come to an end and the Downeaster is back to full and reliable service.    Among the many lessons learned these past few months, is how lucky we are to have such loyal customers.    Thank-you!       There will no longer be nightly travel advisory emails from this point forward. Ct DOT announcement about train Cancellations bustitutions New Haven - Springfield.

Announced that Down Easter trains will be restored to normal schedules Monday August 2rd. 

Unconfirmed report that 3 New Haven - Springfield round trips cancelled to complete the restoration of double track New haven - Hartford & short section north of Hartford.  No annoncement on Amtrak yet so check it out.

Just checked reservations for Monday all shuttles cancelled except las one of day.  Thruway bus are substituted  at approximately shuttle times.
