But ... ye gods! those are three of the hurtingest excuses for design I have seen in a while.

I was particularly amused by the one that resembles (I presume inadvertently) an H.G.Wells fighting machine, complete with vast, cool intellectual eye.

I was going to bemoan the evident lack of monument design skill, but the real question is who did the selection to have howlers like these three as finalists?
