Question about Amtrak regionals

Probably not.  For openers, California and North Carolina each own their own rolling stock, which has to stay on the home operations.  Most of them are also geographically separated, which makes a national pool impractical.

Equipment purchasing is a different matter in situations where the various operators can agree on specs.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul
