It looks like the Southwest Chiefs, train numbers 3 and 4, detoured in Kansas today, Nov. 13, between Hutchinson and Kansas City. They appeared to be routed Union Pacific via McPherson, bypassing Newton, Topeka and Lawrence. Number 3 was running about 10 hours late and number 4 was running about 10 hours behind schedule. I haven't found a reason for this and am wondering what caused this. Any insight?
