I've been wondering will the city of Emporia, KS will have their railway depot return to service and see Amtrak come into town again? I sure hope that the Emporia Railway Depot sees service again. If not, it'll be very sad.
The former station burned down 15 years ago. If the town is interested in restoring Amtrak service, they should build a new station. There was a NewsWire article a few months back:
