Paying Amtrak on board with Travelers Checks?

With the proliferation of credit cards, debit cards, ATM's, etc., the travelers check has pretty much become obsolete.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Amtrak no longer accepts travelers cheques. I used to use them for all my trips in my early traveling years.

Karl Malden said don't leave home without them,, Now since its been years since I used travelers checks whats Amtrak Policy as far as the conductor is concerned
