Chicago Union Station Master Plan & Railway Age
Posted by jclass on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 10:19 AM
I started this as a new topic because it references the original Railway Age article about CUS when it opened, and shows the City of Chicago's Master Plan for the station. Amazing the services provided originally at the station. Even two jail cells for criminals being transported. I haven't figured out how to post the links properly, so someone please convert them. Thx. ............... http://www.unionstationmp.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/RailwayAge-1925-0704-Chicago-Union-Station.pdf ............... http://www.unionstationmp.com/

Wonderful article! Does anyone have any link/information about the replacement concourse that was built in the 1960's? I can find photos of the original (1925) and the Amtrak remodel (1990) but little or nothing about the one built with 222 Riverside Plaza...a floor plan seems to have eluded the Internet completely.
