They will probably be sold off, as AMTK already has a OCS train with newer equipment.
Pure speculation but if this poster was Amtrak ----------
1. For those baggage cars not water tight or rusted sell for scrap.
2. Sell rest of short baggage cars ( mostly 90 MPH MAS ). Cancel Amtrak certification once delivered to purchaser.
3. Keep about 10 of the best baggage cars and fix them up for special transport such as for the motor cycle rallies that were transported in the past.
4. Keep the heritage diners that are in good shape and place them as a standby dinning car at various terminals. NYP, WASH, CHI, NOL, MIA, and maybe an intermediate station ? Standbys could also fill in as a second diner at those few times a train was booked for many persons.
Biggest problem for heritage dinning cars would be the 110 MPH NEC speed limit. also the heritage bags.
