Thank you for your interest in Amtrak.Following is the requested information: The Orange Line in Massachusetts isoperated by an independent commuter carrier, MBTA. MASSACHUSETTS BAY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY - MBTA Please see below, transfer by MBTAOrange Line from BOS-BON:TRANSFERRING BY SUBWAY (MBTA ORANGE LINE): . WHEN TRANSFERRING BY SUBWAY IT IS SUGGESTED THAT PASSENGERS MAKE THE CONNECTION AT BACK BAY STATION, SINCE THIS PERMITS ASINGLE-TRAIN RIDE ON THE SUBWAY. * - AFTER DETRAINING FROM THE INBOUND AMTRAK TRAIN, PROCEEDUPSTAIRS INTO THE STATION WAITING AREA, THEN AROUND TO THE RIGHT TO THE ORANGE LINE ATTENDANT BOOTH. - PAY $1 PER PERSON SUBWAY FARE AT THE ATTENDANT BOOTH, THEN PROCEED DOWNSTAIRS TO THE SUBWAY TRACK LEVEL, FOLLOWING SIGNS FOR "INBOUND" TRAINS. - BOARD ANY ORANGE LINE TRAIN DESTINED TO "OAK GROVE." SERVICE OPERATES EVERY 3 TO 12 MINUTES, DEPENDING ON TIME OF DAY AND DAY OF WEEK, AND THE RIDE TO NORTH STATION TAKES APPROXIMATELY 8-9 MINUTES (NORTH STATION IS THE SIXTH STOP AFTER DEPARTING BACK BAY STATION). - DETRAIN AT NORTH STATION. PROCEED UP TWO LEVELS TO THE STATION EXIT AT GROUND LEVEL, FOLLOWING SIGNS FOR "COMMUTER RAIL." EXIT IS VIA A COMBINATION OF ESCALATORS, STAIRS AND WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ELEVATOR. - UPON EXITING THE SUBWAY STATION, WALK TOWARD FLEET CENTER, CROSSING CAUSEWAY STREET VIA THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALK. NORTH STATION IS LOCATED AT GROUND LEVEL WITHIN FLEET CENTER. - AFTER CROSSING CAUSEWAY STREET IN THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALK, CONTINUE STRAIGHT AHEAD TOWARD THE FLEET CENTER BUILDING. * THIS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE EAST-SIDE ENTRANCE TO THE NORTH STATION WAITING AREA. Unfortunately, Amtrak cannot be liable for providing, maintaining and guaranteeing MBTA schedules. This is a legal issue, as MBTA would have to authorize for Amtrak or anyother company to dispense their information. Sincerely, Ev C.
