CSX operates about 12-15 trains a day through the NS crossing here in CLT. The Piedmont's and the Carolinian do not get near the crossing as the station is about a mile to the north. The Crescent hits the crossing at about 2:00 am in both directions.

The word I have is that the CSX and ADM (the flour mill) made some costly last minute demands that could not be met for the money or the time limit to spend the Stimulus funds, 2017. This is a real loss as I don't know when we will ever see that kind of money around here to separate two high traffic rail lines like this. Its a real shame.
