and do not forget about Gainesville....home of the University of Florida..a CSX line is west of there at Newberry

and a connected short line-former SAL, I believe-is in town.

Line only comes in from north and does not even go downtown.

The best way to bring Amtrak over the FEC would be to leave both Silver Service trains where they are and extend the Palmetto over the FEC.

Tri-Rail & FEC talking about 3 connections to each other at West Palm Beach, Pompano, & Hialeah.  Concepts are much broader than I had ever contemplated.  The most difficult might be Hialeah.
