San Joa authority announced start of refurbished Comet cars at Beech Grove to 2 of the San Joaquin train sets for just Bakersfield - Oak service.. This will allow move of displaced bi-level equipment to the other 2 train sets, to the Capital corridor train sets, and return a couple cars to Amtrak for the Summer travel season. Longer trains allows more ridership & revenue. .
