Interesting!  Let's see what happens next.  As screwed-up as CAHSR has been, if can actually succeed, it would pave the way (bad idiom!) for more HSR. If it sees its shadow, then six more decades of Amtrak.Smile

The apparent low bidder for 1st section was announced..Bid came in lower than expected. Not to be cynical but look at the different amounts bid.. Looks like either some companies not qualified or trying to mile CA HSR authority ??.   Bid approval expected soon.,
