I might also add that you store your Amtrak Guest Rewards number in there.

I travel more than the average person and just found out that you can transfer 5,000 points a year into Amtrak Guest Rewards from SPG Hotels frequent stay program.     I liquidated my 30,000 miles with former Midwest Express Airlines (now Frontier) for a free Roomette or Superliner Economy Bedroom anywhere in the country for two (includes rail fare).

Right now they have a double points reward program for tickets bought and used before October 31st.      Will be riding on the Accela this Sunday between PHL and WAS.

Amtrak has a mobile app for Andriod devices now.  I downloaded it. It works pretty nicely and can even do E ticketing (which I haven't tried)  Really simple to get train status.  It's not as slick as DB Navigator, but it's not bad!
