AMTRAK 165mph testing
Posted by grover5995 on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 2:26 PM

AMTRAK currently runs up to 150mph in the newer territory east of New Haven to Providence.  If up-to-date power supply and signaling were installed on the rest of the corridor, along with bridge and track improvements, then we could have a true high-speed operation in our country.  Would also be nice to see double track and electric-powered shuttles between New Haven and Springfield, MA.  These trains could easily run up to 110mph like the Keystone Corridor between Harrisburg and Philadelphia/New York.
