Gee whiz, Mike, you sure know how to shovel coal in my boiler.
Phoebe Vet oltmannd "Our long distance train network provides these benefits (list) that have monetized value of ($$). As you can see, that exceeds their cost to operate by ($$)." You'd think they'd say this every time. If it were true.... Or, at least you'd think they would be working very hard to make it at least close to true. Must be they are playing a different game. Let me see you, with a straight face, say you didn't just throw that out to see how big a fight you could start.

Trolling? Me?
How about: "We're sorry you're having problems with your WiFi. Please alert your conductor on board about your connection issue"
Oh, wait! They DID say this (in a Tweet today). Apparently the poor conductor is "tech support", too! Who knew?

I'll bet she would! I'll bet she would! Wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more. (with apologies to MPFC...)
I'm sure she would be offended if you told her she looks like me in drag.

Phoebe VetI didn't write it. I only have to wash my eyeballs.
A likely story.

Wash your mouth out with soap, Dave. Whatever would Phoebe say about such a description. "Orgasmic?" I'm shocked, shocked I say.

Sounds like fun to me!
Most of the participants in these forums appear to be older guys, I suspect, many of whom are retired, discussing trains. Doing so without taking into consideration the nation's larger transportation network would make for a sterile discussion.
At the end of the day the people who make the decisions, i.e. executive management, government officials, etc. are not going to take our views on-board. That's OK. It is still fun. Moreover, if one is willing to keep an open mind, he or she may have a view changed or at least consider doing so.
Some of the participants want to control what is said on these forums. That is not their role; it belongs to the moderators. I for one like a bit of ranging. It stimulates the discussions and the mind.
We got to get you more "page views."
If GM "killed the electric car", what am I doing standing next to an EV-1, a half a block from the WSOR tracks?
