Mea Culpa.  I didn't realize that I didn't post it.  I saw it when it happened.  My 5 year old grandson wanted to know it that was snow.  He had a little trouble believing that is was limestone.  That is, of course, the Piedmont.

As long as we are on the subject, the Crescent hit another pedestrian a couple of nights ago.  He was apparently passed out on the tracks at 3 AM.  A bar tender has been arrested as a result of the investigation.

I still think we should be on a long term course to eliminate grade level crossings.  People are too stupid to be allowed to drive across railroad tracks.

Grade crossings are immaterial - the track draw stupidity to come to rest upon them.

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

In the past 15 years or so several people have been hit by the Acela between Princeton Junction and Hamilton, New Jersey.  In all the cases I read about the people were committing suicide and were deliberately on the track.
