THE WALL STREET JOURNAL this morning (Wednesday, July 25th) had a near full-page article on speed improvements mainly in IL, due to funds now available to replace ties with concrete ones and eliminating at-grade crossings. Speeds above 100 mph. Mainly focused on the CHI - DET corridor.
