Oh, you know I think you are right, that dome observation is an ex-BN car, not the Santa Fe version, which was single level.

When my father still worked for the RR a officers special went though Wenatchee, Wa, and I was lucky to get to walk though all the cars. The Glacier View is real neat car, with its row of seats.

I believe those are BNSF office cars, the last car I have seen in the 70s-80s when I lived along the old ATSF Transcon, it has several rows of chairs facing that back window. When it came through I knew to get off the right of way or special agents would be showing up in the next few days. Normally they just use their own units and run a special train but must have decided to just pay Amtrak this time.

Well saw it go by my house, so I poped in my little sports car broke some speed rules... and well got these few photos.
