Actually, I don't think that the P42 is THE number one engine of Amtrak. I think the Acela Express is the number one today (yes, I know it is a "trainset", but it acts as one engine).
To answer your question, however, the previos post is right.
The Lehigh Valley Railroad, the Route of the Black Diamond Express, John Wilkes and Maple Leaf.

The designation AMD-103 was the basic design that includes the P32, P40, and P42. Possibly other variations.

Some say P42 some say AMD103. What is correct is it the same engine?
