With all the rural and small cities and towns which have hosted such a venture, suburban is a great idea which has been long in coming.  No, I 'm too old...and poor...to consider such a thing today, you should have got to me15 or 29 years ago!  I can think of several unique routes and railroads within the system that would be good.  There are many marketing...and unique marketing...opportunities not pursued by government agencies running the commuter services.  For instance, I 've thrown out to some powers that be for a Dayliner or Circle Liner boat up the Hudson for brunch or lunch and train back or train up and back by boat for dinner.  Doesn't even have to be up the Hudson for that matter.  And no special train or rail equipment is needed.

RIDEWITHMEHENRY is the name for our almost monthly day of riding trains and transit in either the NYCity or Philadelphia areas including all commuter lines, Amtrak, subways, light rail and trolleys, bus and ferries when warranted. No fees, just let us know you want to join the ride and pay your fares. Ask to be on our email list or find us on FB as RIDEWITHMEHENRY (all caps) to get descriptions of each outing.

If you know anyone who has the interest, have him or her contact me, and I will give him the email address of someone who can handle the legal work and has good connections with the operating entities (MN, LIRR, Amtrak).
