Amtrak’s Express Trak service gone from Harrisburg PA?
Posted by seppburgh2 on Friday, April 15, 2011 5:09 PM

Has Amtrak given up on the ExpressTrak service? I have commuted passed the Harrisburg PA Amtrak Express-Trak yard on 2th street for years and the yard went from having it’s own CF-7 to nothing more then two tracks of dead cars.  The tracks are filled with silver box/refrigerator cars that don’t move year after year.  Sad to have watch the services go from one track with a heritage baggage car office to multi-track yard with its own CF-7 sitting junk yard.  Heck, the old drover cattle car that was there before ExpressTrak saw more action with the local vines each year then these graffiti covered Amtrak cars do sinking into the mud.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with ExpressTrak in Harrisburg?

The Express Trak Boxcars have been done for few years now on Amtrak. Amtrak should find a buyer for them cars and make some money.
