The Burlington Free Press photo shows the back of the ancient CV headquarters building, once attached to a train shed through which my grandfather drove Winston Churchill's special train.

The question now becomes: When will Amtrak speed up their schedule? Will Amtrak wait until the whole ST. Albans - Amherst upgrade is complete or will schedule changes starting in spring 2011 reflect the changes? Maybe Amtrak will wait until the Ma reroute is implemented? It appears to this poster that starting at St. Albans (?) that as the various section's upgrades to the south are completed those sections will improve timekeeping.
