This may replace the last stretch of jointed rail between Chicago and Milwaukee this Summer, depending on how far work extends.

This is good news, even though I live in Texas I do ride these trains on my visits to Wisconsin. Milwaukee will always be my favorite. CP used a Milwaukee Road Engineer for some of it's Mountain Pass line engineering on it's Western Lines. CP has always been impressed with Milwaukee Road ingenuity / standards and line engineering and I think thats one of the reasons they acquired the property.
