Several years ago the convention required the cars to come through Chicago.  The IC line thourgh Joliet had two or three Amtrak trains a day.  Each one had 5-10 private cars on the back end heading for Union Station for a couple of days.  My boss couldn't understand why I couldn't leave the plant until 10:00Am when the last one would be coming through right past my office window.

I've got a sudden urge to go to the store to buy a winning ticket for tonight's lottery drawing.

Buy two, you might need a second lottery for the return trip. Unfortunately, Amtrakhas been forced to make alot of price hikes for Private cars.
